Course Overview
CompTIA Network+ is a certification that validates the technical skills needed to securely establish, maintain, and troubleshoot the essential networks that businesses rely on. Unlike other vendor-specific networking certifications, CompTIA Network+ prepares candidates to support networks on any platform. It is the only certification that covers the specific skills that network professionals need.
The course features flexible training options including self-paced learning, live online training, custom training, and labs to advance the career development of IT professionals in network administration.
Course Structure
The course is run for 2 consecutive weeks with the students required to take the exam on the last day of week 2.
Week 1 Focus
- Domain 1 – Understanding Network Fundamentals
- Domain 2 – Network Implementations
- Domain 3 – Network Operations
- Domain 4 – Network Security
- Domain 5 – Network Troubleshooting
Week 2 – Course End Game
The second week of the course continues to prepare students for the CompTIA Network+ (N10-008) exam.
Exam Information
The current exam (N10-008) was released in September 2021. It has been updated and reorganized from the previous version (N10-007) to address the current networking technologies with expanded coverage of several domains, including:
- Critical security concepts to help networking professionals work with security practitioners
- Key cloud computing best practices and typical service models
- Coverage of newer hardware and virtualization techniques
- Concepts to give individuals the combination of skills to keep the network resilient
